Robert (Bob) Isaacson

Robert (Bob) Isaacson serves as a senior faculty member for Vera Causa Group. Bob is a retired former St. Louis Assistant Circuit Attorney and Missouri Assistant Attorney General who served as a career trial advocate.
Bob’s path as a prosecutor began at the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office, where over a four-year period he prosecuted hundreds of cases and tried over 50 cases to verdict as first chair, including murder, serious assault, and sex abuse cases. Bob then entered private practice, where he remained for 15 years. While in private practice, he defended civil clients in serious employment discrimination cases and defended numerous criminal defendants in federal and state courts.
In 2008, Bob joined the Missouri Attorney General’s Office in the litigation department. As an Assistant Attorney General, he became a team leader, won multiple awards for litigation excellence, and frequently handled cases through trial where millions of dollars of state funds were at stake. Those cases largely consisted of employment discrimination cases, tort cases, and civil rights cases, including many cases defending law enforcement. As a result of his experience prosecuting, defending criminal cases, and defending law enforcement in civil matters, he has excellent insight into matters involving police investigation and police/citizen interaction.
Bob obtained his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Louis University, graduating summa cum laude. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.
